Okay, this is not so much a gripe, but more a reality check. Sometimes life gets in the way of letting you enjoy the things that are really important to you.
Time flies … really flies. In just less than two weeks my younger daughter is turning one. What happened??? It feels like I missed most of it somehow. =(
Time does go by fast. It seems to go by faster the older I get, too. Remember being grounded for two weeks ever? “TWO WHOLE WEEKS, MOM?” You felt like you might die. Now that your little one is going to technically be a toddler in two weeks, though, it seems like a different measurement of time entirely, doesn’t it? Our littlest is 8 1/2 months old, saying “mama” and finally “dada” all day as well as a few other words, crawling and pulling herself up on everything. It won’t be long before we’re scratching our heads as well, wondering where the past year went!
Michelle,
I was a complete angel as a kid so never got grounded. LMAO! I remember with our first how after they turn one, you don’t say their age in weeks, rather months. Then after they turn 2, you just say they are 3, 4, 5 … not 43 months. I get sad when I think about the adorable little things they used to do but have outgrown. We were able to catch some on video, but they never put on quite as good a show under pressure.
